Supplying the restaurant with products is a priority issue in the daily operation of your business. It is equally important to properly manage their availability in the system. At any time, you can enable or disable the availability of entire categories or specific items not only in the entire menu, but also for individual premises or for specific days of the week, ensuring that the offer is up-to-date.

Enabling /disabling products availability

Manage the availability of sections or selected products in your restaurant's menu on an ongoing basis to offer customers only those items that are realistic for ordering.

  1. Go to the "Menu" section, then press the circle next to the selected section or product and choose "Enable / Disable availability" accordingly.

  2. You can turn it back on at any time.

  3. Disabled products or categories will not be displayed on your restaurant's website.

In the mobile application, you can enable/disable availability by moving the slider beside the selected category or product.

Enabling / disabling the availability of products in the restaurant chain

When running a chain of restaurants, you can use the convenient option of managing both the availability of sections and individual products or additives, independently for each place. Having the permissions to manage the menu, you can enable or disable the availability of certain items only in those premises where it will be necessary.

  1. Go to "Menu" → change the availability next to the selected product or section by selecting / deselecting selected premises.

  2. Save changes.

  3. Depending on the selected settings, the color of the option indicating availability will change: green when the product is active in all premises, yellow when it is partially active (in selected premises) or red when it is completely inactive.

  4. The availability of the menu on your website will vary depending on the premises chosen by the client.

Setting menu items available for specific days and hours

In UpMenu, you can adjust the availability of sections or products in the menu for particular days of the week and hours, and also use the option of hiding them on the website when they are unavailable. Thanks to this, you can create interesting offers for a limited time.

  1. Go to the "Menu" → "Edit details" next to the selected product or section.

  2. Expand "Advanced settings" → "Other settings" and turn "Available at specified times and dates" on.

  3. A list of days will appear → uncheck the days when the product is not to be available.

  4. You can set the "Hide menu item outside availability hours". Now your customers will see the product on the menu only when it is available (optional).

  5. Save your changes.

Disabling the purchase of an item visible in the menu

When some of your products are only available onsite but you still want them displayed on your online menu.

  1. Go to the "Menu" → "Edit details" next to the chosen product.

  2. Expand "Advanced settings" → "Other settings" and turn "Not for sale" on. Now, the selected product is visible online but adding it to the cart is disabled.

  3. Save your changes.
