UpMenu offers you various online payment intermediaries to choose from. Let’s find out how you can configure and activate online payments through Stripe!

Stripe Payments is a payment processing platform that allows your customer to make a payment for your products by way of a credit or debit card transaction. The company uses security features, such as TLS (SSL) and encryption, to ensure the safety of the transfer.

Make sure that your website is secured with HTTPS since Stripe requires it for payments to work.

Stripe Connect configuration for USA only.

  1. Go to “Restaurant” → “Payment Types” in the UpMenu panel.

  2. Select “Online payments” and then “Stripe”.

  3. Click the "Your account Stripe" button.

  4. If you don't have a Stripe account, follow the instructions and create an account. If you have an account with Stripe, log in to your account and confirm your details

    5. Stripe will verify your account within 24 hours.

6. If something is wrong, you will receive information in the panel.

7. When everything is fine, you can use Stripe Connect.

Important:

Stripe Connect transaction fees and charges apply as per the pricelist.

Stripe payments configuration for others countries

  1. Log in or sign up on the Stripe website.

  2. In the dashboard, click on the “Developers” button.

  3. Copy live API keys: Publishable key and Secret key and save them.

  4. Go to “Restaurant” → “Payment Types” in the UpMenu panel.

  5. Select “Online payments” and then “Stripe”.

  6. Paste the Api keys in the appropriate fields and save your changes.

  7. When placing an order, customers will be able to choose online payments made by Stripe.

Apple Pay Configuration

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service that allows users to make payments. It is supported on the iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac. Discover how you can enable Apple Pay in your restaurant!

  1. Go to the Apple Pay Configuration on the Stripe website.

  2. Click on the “+ Add new domain” button.

  3. Enter the domain (it has to start with "www") where you wish to enable Apple Pay.

  4. Download the verification file.

  5. Go to “Restaurant” → “Payment Types” in the UpMenu panel.

  6. Select “Online payments” and then “Stripe”.

  7. Activate Apple Pay using the slider.

  8. Upload the verification file.

  9. Come back to the Stripe panel and click on the “Add” button.

Important:

Apple Pay option is not available if you are using an Embedding on a page installation method.

How to validate Apple Pay configuration?

For Apple Pay to be available, you must have an Apple device and Apple Pay payments must be set up on it. If the configuration was successful you will be able to place an order and then the Apple Pay payment option will appear on your device.

Google Pay Configuration

Google Pay is a digital wallet tied to a Google account that allows making quick online payments to your customers. The option is automatically active by default on every Stripe account.

How to validate Google Pay configuration?

For Google Pay to be available, you must have Google Pay payments configured in your Google account. If the configuration was successful you will be able to place an order and then the Google Pay payment option will appear on your device.

Credit card processing fees

As a restaurant owner, you must have a merchant account with the payment provider for the settlement of credit card and/or debit card transactions. For more information on credit card processing fees, please contact your payment provider.
