In UpMenu, you can inform a specific customer about the estimated waiting time for an order or delivery, using various settings.

Setting the average order fulfillment time

In the UpMenu system collects and processes information to determine the average order fulfillment time in delivery or takeout.

  1. Go to the "Restaurant" → "Order settings" → "Advanced settings" → "Taking orders" tab.
  2. Enable the "Show customers the average order fulfillment time in a given hour" option. You can set the average time in minutes for delivery and on-site pickup, or leave the fields blank for the system to calculate the average.
  3. Save.
  4. When choosing the method of order fulfillment, the customer will see the average time for each option.
  5. UpMenu system will automatically accept the order and display it to the restaurant staff marked as "Accepted".

Accepting orders with the default completion time

You can set up an automatic order pickup option and specify the default order fulfillment time. Thanks to this option, the system will inform the customer about the waiting time, and the staff will not have to enter this value each time.

  1. Go to the "Restaurant" → "Order settings" → "Advanced settings" → "Accepting orders" tab.
  2. Enable the "Accept orders automatically with default order fulfillment time" option and enter the value expressed in minutes (or per hours).
  3. Save.
  4. The customer will see the order fulfillment time indicated by you in the order confirmation.
  5. UpMenu system will automatically accept the order and display it to the restaurant staff marked as "Accepted".

Accepting orders without specifying the lead time

In case of a large number of orders and problems with the estimation of their delivery time, you can set the option to collect orders without specifying the time.

  1. Go to the "Restaurant" → "Order settings" → "Advanced settings" → "Accepting orders" tab.
  2. Enable the option "Accept orders without specifying the time of order fulfillment".
  3. Save.
  4. UpMenu system will automatically accept the order and display it to the restaurant staff marked as "Accepted".
  5. After placing the order, the customer will see a summary and information about the acceptance of the purchase.
