In the UpMenu administration panel, the customer base is automatically saved when placing online orders. UpMenu is the processor of this database and it is owned by the restaurant.

Downloading data base of all customers

You can download and save a database of all customers who placed online orders at your restaurant.

  1. Go to the "Reports" section.
  2. Select the "Customers" and click "Download".
  3. The database will be saved in the program of your choice.

Downloading the subscribers base

You can download and save the customer base of subscribers, you will find in it a list of all contact details of customers who agree to receive commercial information from your restaurant.

  1. Go to the "Reports" section.
  2. Select the "Subscribers" edit menu and choose "Download".
  3. The database will be saved in the program of your choice.

Uploading an external customer database

You can easily import your own customer base to the UpMenu panel.

  1. Go to the "Reports" → "Subscribers".
  2. Expand options and choose "Import database".
  3. Select and upload your customer database file. Below you will find information on what the import file should look like.
  4. The database has been added to the subscribers base.

Preparation of the database for import

You can upload from UpMenu administration panel a sample import file.

  1. Go to the "Reports" → "Subscribers".
  2. Expand options and choose "Sample import file. The file will be saved automatically.
  3. The imported file should be saved in the xls file format. It should contain 5 columns with: a) clients e-mail address b) phone number c) name and surname d) Restaurant ID (if more than one, separate them with a comma) - to find it go to "Restaurant" → "Address and contact" select the restaurant whose ID you want to find. In the link, the last string after # is the ID of the restaurant. You can also find it in "Reports" → "Orders history" → "Orders in Restaurant chain" → in the table, the last field is the ID of the restaurant.
