In UpMenu you can choose one of two methods of calculating points in the program and your clients have two options to exchange points for prizes:

  1. Program based on the number of orders, for which it is worth configuring the exchange of points for a reward in the form of a discount.
  2. Program based on the value of orders, for which it is worth configuring the exchange of points for a reward in the form of a menu item.

The loyalty program based on the number of orders

One of the frequently configured settings is the method of settling multiple orders placed, e.g. “Make purchases 5 times and with 6 you will get a 50% discount”.

  1. Go to the “Marketing” → “Loyalty program” → “Create a new loyalty program”.
  2. Fill out the form with the name of the program, description, and additional information for the application.
  3. Specify the method of calculating points by selecting the type from the list:
    One point for each accepted order” – the customer will receive 1 point for each order placed.
  4. Choose the presentation type:
    - Points
    - Stamps – after selecting this option, define the maximum number of points (which entitles the customer to receive the award) and specify the value of stamps in points, e.g. 1 stamp = 1 point, 1 point = $ 5.00.
  5. Specify in which restaurants it should be active (in the case of running a chain, you can choose all or only some).
  6. Enable the “Active” option and make the rest of the settings.
  7. Save the entered data.
  8. Create a promotion valid in the loyalty program → go to the “Marketing” tab:

    - Discounts → Enter the name and description of the discount → enter the value of the discount in loyalty points → select the restaurants where it will apply and save. Then go to the more options icon and add new rewards.
    - Promotions and events → Enter the name and description of the promotion → choose the restaurants where it will be valid and then select a discount. Save.

  9. The customer will see the number of points scored in the order summary and then the number of points or stamps in the confirmation of order acceptance by the service.

Loyalty program based on the value of orders

Another method of configuring the program is the method of settlement taking into account the number of orders, eg: "Collect points and exchange for prizes. For each $ 10 spent you will get 5 points".

  1. Go to the “Marketing” → “Loyalty program” → “Create a new loyalty program”.
  2. Fill out the form with the name of the program, description, and additional information for the application.
  3. Specify the method of calculating points by selecting the type from the list:
    Points for the amount spent” – points are calculated using a converter you define, for example, 1 point for each $ 1 spent.
  4. Choose the presentation type:
    - Points
    - Stamps
  5. Specify in which restaurants it should be active (in the case of running a chain, you can choose all or only some).
  6. Enable the “Active” option and make the rest of the settings.
  7. Save the entered data.
  8. The customer will see the number of points for this order while placing the order, and then the number of points or stamps in the confirmation of order acceptance by the service.

Tip

After creating your loyalty program and rewards system with stamps, you can add your stamp design. By default, this will be a check-mark in the dominant color of the subject of the restaurant’s menu. You can change it by clicking on its symbol next to the loyalty program.
